Ecological Resource & Wetland Surveys
Our experience in environmental resource assessments includes coastal, estuarine, wetland, aquatic and upland ecosystems. We conduct wetland delineations, biological community assessments, tree surveys, threatened and endangered plant and wildlife species studies and submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) mapping. Such surveys are essential to streamline the permitting process and avoid unnecessary environmental impacts.
Environmental Monitoring & Compliance
DMC offers monitoring and compliance services in Florida’s diverse aquatic and upland ecosystems. Our environmental staff is experienced in manatee observations for dredging projects, development of stormwater erosion and sedimentation control plans, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance and turbidity monitoring. We also provide long-term monitoring of shoreline erosion and submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV). We develop mitigation plans for any resource impacts and complete all annual reporting to regulatory agencies.
Water Quality & Sediment Collection
We possess the expertise, equipment, quality assurance and quality control needed to collect water and sediment samples in a variety of aquatic habitats. DMC field staff incorporates Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure proper sample care, chain-of-custody and valid results. Pre- and post- project surveys can be conducted or long-term monitoring programs can be established.
Biological, Chemical & Physical Analyses
Once samples are collected, DMC works with accredited laboratories to properly transport, preserve, archive and document specimens according to the necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Our staff maintains valuable working relationships with top-notch laboratories with National Environmental Laboratory.
